The Immigrant Learning Center’s Public Education Institute will release its new research report Immigrant Essential Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic on Wednesday, December 8, 2:00 to 3:00 PM EST in a free webinar moderated by Ali Noorani, president and CEO of the National Immigration Forum. The report dives deeply into the lived experiences of immigrant essential workers and shows the outsized, precarious, and often thankless role they played in our recovery. It also examines the lack of protection and benefits many immigrant workers faced even while they put their lives in danger. Register now.

Speakers will illustrate the experiences of immigrant essential workers in agriculture, retail and health care, describe policies that aided and hindered immigrants’ work, and discuss local actions that could help immigrant workers and the broader community thrive during the next public health crisis.
