This session will distinguish the difference between a refugee and immigrant. City of Refuge and Catholic Charities of Northern and Central Missouri- Refuge and Immigration Services will discuss refugee communities at the local and global context and share how participants might volunteer and be an advocate to better welcome and support those communities. A panel of individuals who identify as refugees will share their experiences and how to be a better ally.
